7. Looking Back at Your Preliminary Task What Do You Feel You Have Learnt In The Proggression From It To Full Product
What I learnt from the preliminary task to
the finished music magazine was editing, I learnt that instead of taking a
photo that is ok and editing it to improve it, to take a photo properly the
first time with the correct backgrounds so that only minor improvements need to
be made as this can be time consuming.
What I did different from my preliminary
task to my main project was that the mast head on my school magazine was integrated
with the main image and the main image was to small, whereas with the music
magazine I layered the photo over the masthead
as it is a main convention to follow.
For the preliminary task I used
the background of the image whereas on the music magazine I edited the image to
give it a colour fill which gives it a clean and sleek design, I feel this
makes it look more professional.
I have improved a lot from using fireworks
as when producing my preliminary task I really struggled
and had no knowledge on how to use it. Although now after completing the music
magazine I am now confident with fireworks and knowing all its functions,
editing photos and fonts to my own personal design.
Lastly I have learnt what appeals to the
audience to make sure that your magazine is the best it can be to grab the
audience’s attention. Including specific conventions to follow, I feel I have
created an effective and professional magazine.
